I agree. They don't make sense. |

Disagree. The manga doesn't indicate that the power increases from Super Saiyan forms are randomly different for different people, and essentially every piece of official material with an opinion to give says "Super Saiyan makes you about 50x stronger." It's entirely up to the individual to accept that or not, but I personally don't see any reason to go against it. Edited by Kaboom, Apr 16 2015, 02:41 AM.

Multipliers are poop. Use percentages for increases. |

Toriyama has given literally a single multiplier for a single instance and it the number doesn't work in that context. I don't think he really had anything in mind more than "Super Saiyan makes you stronger". |

More like, "Super Saiyan makes you a hell of a lot stronger because Frieza is dwarfing Goku's power and my god the damn legend must hold true!!! Super Saiyan is maximum!" |

The multipliers do work. But not the SEG ones. And only if they decrease. |

Multipliers are nonsense. Although I will agree that there's no evidence for different increases for different people, there's also no evidence of a standard increase. Considering that no one in the series (even the characters who are Super Saiyan) can accurately predict the power increase that someone receives when others go Super Saiyan, it flies in the face of the claim that it's a standard increase for every person who can use it. However, something also to consider is that Gohan seems to tell us that Super Saiyan ki itself is different than someone's regular ki, because he mistakes Trunks for Goku. This could be interpreted as a ki increase, when it's actually a combination of increase and change. |

They can be confusing I'll say that. They work sometimes but other times they don't. |

For Goku and Vegeta to be equal in all their forms - including the new bluper saiyan - then there needs to be a fixed multiplier. |

It's not even whether they work or not. It's just I don't think it works with the legend. Why would the legend say mightiest warrior or something if it's just multiplication? |

That, or their SSJ forms draw the same amount of dormant power out. I don't adhere to SSJ Multipliers anymore, I adhere to SSJ forms bringing a further release of your dormant power out. Let's say... for Goku and Vegeta, SSJ brings 5% of your dormant power out, SSJ2 brings 10% out, and SSJ3 brings 40% out. It would help explain why there was so much emphasis put on training the SSJ forms, that way they could bring out more dormant power with a transformation. |

We don't know what happened. We just kind of saw what happened in the middle of the training. |

We saw Trunks sweating and gritting his teeth while Gohan had a smile on his face and blocked him. Seems pretty clear |

How long has Trunks been SSj. Maybe Gohan was more used to it. Maybe Gohan started the fight as SSj and then powered down when he saw that he doesn't need it anymore. Gohan even said Trunks could surpass him soon. |
